USESAGE OF CATCHU TANNIN (MS Grade-1 Tannin)

Catechu Tannin is a by product of Catechu. It is Manufacture in a Liquid, 500gms blocks and in powder form. There is a two types of Tannin. Catechol and  pyrogallol. Catechols are more astringent and tan more quickly than the pyrogallol that is why in most of tanneries in the world prefer catechols tannin. Catechu Mimosa, Brich, Hemlock, Quebracho contain catechols Tannin. Catechu tannin is a alternative of Mimosa and Quebracho.

Tannin had found great use in tanning of leather. The great quantity of Tannin exported in Europe is mostly coloring the leather there because the resultant here is fast, standardized and settled. Industrial used of Cutch is extensive and varied, it is used for dyeing   and color and produces brown and olive hues with different mordents and offers and excellent fastness of hue and a resistance to mildew attack. It is applied as a protective agent for fishing nets and sails that are constantly exposed to salt    Water or other water. It is used to colour certain varieties of tobacco, though it is rich in Tannin.

DYEING :
A great use of Tannin is made now in dying the clothes and to print the designs particularly of spots and creepers, over it. The shade, obtained thereby is very fast. It affords a protection from the deleterious effects of climate. Catechu tannin is a large astringent, molecule found in plants that bonds readily with proteins. When you apply tannin to skin you can found it will be more soft and storng Because of this reasons this is employed in maritime cordage and postal parcels.

There is a great demand for tannin for dyeing cotton as well as silken textiles. A great deal of CATCHUE TANNIN production is used in the leather Industries also, to improve the quality and variety of the final product. It ensures better resistance to weather and water for better consistency and adds softness and comfort to touch. Using the dissolved Tannin with lime or alum will convert mud color into an attractive red color. This is a widely utilized procedure in India Tannin is much used in Europe for leather Industries and textile coloring and printing.

VETERINARY :
Catechu Tannin had also wast   used in veterinary, it is applied to burn to help the healing and to cuts reduce bleeding. When hides are stuck into tannin baths the bacteria are also killed. Black Catechu is used internally for chronic catarrh of the mucous membranes, dysentery, and bleeding. In Chinese medicine it is used for poorly healing ulcers, weeping skin diseases, oral ulcers with bleeding, and traumatic injuries. It is used as a haemostatic taxifalin has antibacterial, anti fungal, anti inflammatory and anti oxidant propeties.

INDUSTRIAL USED :
MS grade 1Tannin has a great Industrial use. MS grade 1Tannin is modified, cold water soluble, Catechu Tannin. Grade 1 Tannin is used commercially in the Hydro metallurgical leaching of zinc to reduce the deposition of sulfur on the remaining sphalerite. This leads to improved leaching and higher recovery. The tannin also inhibits the deposition of sulfur in the autoclave and flash-cooling tower. Some ores contain high levels of Benton tic clays leading to high pulp viscosity and/or reduced pulp density. MS Grade 1 tannin is a very effective thinner and can significantly reduce the pulp viscosity due to clay minerals. MS Grade 1 tannin is beneficial in fluorite (fluorspar) flotation. It is used to depress calcite flotation leading to improved concentrate grade. Its greatest industrial use is to reduce the viscosity of drill mud and it can also improve metal recovery in autoclave leaching.
